The work was first performed in the winter of 1937-1938 at the Istanbul City Theater. The action takes place in Istanbul on an unknown date. "Husrev - I tried to create a man. To find a face and a destiny for him... Where should I find him? I found myself. The faceless and fateless man rose up. He broke his chain. He escaped from my hands. I am human. He shot me in the back. The faceless and fateless man wore my face. He put on my clothes. He lay in my destiny. (A moment of silence) This is my destiny too."
