Like all historical and social problems of Türkiye, it is a sufficiently complex issue by its nature. This situation can be thought to be primarily due to the structure of our social paradigm, which turns even the most easily solvable problems into unsolvable ones, and tends to see the glass half empty. However, there must be some serious reasons why the Alevism-Bektashism issue has become so complex that it boggles the mind. Some of these can be listed as follows: Alevism-Bektashism has come to the present day as a group of overlapping processes with intertwined wavelengths; it is not very easy to determine the starting and ending points. Moreover, the issue as a whole appears before us as an example of anachronism; in an intertwined past, both the past, the present and the future have been lost. The first serious studies on the subject were conducted by Westerners for various reasons. It is a known fact that a significant portion of later studies were carried out in the footsteps of the first ones, following their roadmap. This situation has led to the perception of some artificial differences as if they were real differences, ignoring the socio-cultural integrity of Turkish society, and common denominators have almost been forgotten. The Alevism-Bektashism issue has been seen as political and ideological material and has been consumed very badly by including the ethnic dimension. Serious scientific research on the subject is unfortunately almost non-existent. The lack of scientific knowledge has facilitated the arbitrary construction of Alevism-Bektashism.
